Eifel-Ardennes expedition
A tour by and for nature experts

This tour has been designed by Rureifel-Tourismus e.V. .
The nature and landscape of the National Park region are shaped by an exuberant low mountain river – the Rur. You will notice three distinctive landscape elements: the valley carved deep by the Rur River, the reservoirs and the extensive forests. The National Park region hides unusual ecological gems with the protected Rur brook valleys that rush at Mützenich with the temperament of a mountain brook and the Ruraue near Nideggen enthroned by the coloured sandstone cliffs.
Another feature is the expansive forest areas of the Eifel National Park; the only National Park in North-Rhine Westphalia. The bird life is just as varied as the National Park region itself. Find out about the forest's bird species, cliff landscapes, heaths and moors of the National Park region in the company of our nature guides.
