The forest is an all-round talent. It ensures our livelihood, supplies raw materials and gives wildlife and plants a home. It therefore deserves the utmost attention and understanding. This will be actively conveyed to you using all the senses on this forest discovery weekend.

You will walk through the Eifel National Park's forests and Münstereifel forest, some of which belongs to a Europe-wide protection network, at the side of our certified nature guides. You will find out lots worth knowing about conservation aims and conflicts of use, and about forestry and the inhabitants. We can catch sight of some of the most impressive representatives on Dreiborner plateau. Observing the red deer rutting season in the dusky light rounds off a day in the National Park. The former NS "Ordensburg" Vogelsang is another "unnatural" highlight. A tours makes us confront the darkest chapter in German history, but also looks at the current uses. Exhibition visits and city tours round off the 3 day programme. This is weekend on which you will experience and discover the forest habitat and a special nature region.
